The Princess & The Frog

It's midterm brake for school children, and the weather’s to be lousy, so were off to see The Princess and The Frog tomorrow. We being, my daughter Nicole, and one of her BFFs, Róisín.
Girls day out, and as a rule, most enjoyable.

I don’t have a lot of details on it. I know it’s Disney and Oprah Winfrey does the voice over for Tiana’s Mother so that was enough to get me buying the tickets.

I admit I am looking forward to it as much as the girls. From the clips we’ve seen it’s obvious the storyline is great and the music beautiful, as always with Disney.

Isn’t it amazing that as a writer you see films as great works of writing first. For those who don’t write they see the graphics or sound effects in the film.

Ideas always seem to dawn on me when I am in the cinema with the girls. I don’t know if it’s that I am not in a position to write or that I am relaxed and watching children’s films that spark the inspiration. This time I am going prepared with a notebook and pen. Even if I only get to scribble down one-liners, it will be worth it.

I will fill you in on how it goes at a later date.

With a smile

  1. Hi Ita,
Saw The Princess and the Frog last week, it was great to see the more "traditional" type Disney movie and plenty of jokes in it too for the adults! Olive
